All six of this weekend’s JD Cymru Premier fixtures take place on a busy Saturday afternoon. Here are the key clashes to keep an eye on.
Haverfordwest County v Caernarfon Town (Saturday, 5:15pm)
Early JD Cymru Premier leaders Caernarfon Town travel to Ogi Bridge Meadow on Saturday evening to face Haverfordwest County, live on Sgorio.
The Cofis were beaten by the Bluebirds in the European Play-Off final last season, but Richard Davies’ side have made an emphatic start to the new campaign by taking 10 points from their first four matches and scoring 15 goals.
Haverfordwest County v Caernarfon Town
However, Haverfordwest had the best defensive record in the top-flight last season and have also conceded the fewest goals so far this term. Following defeat to Penybont on the opening weekend and a 2-2 draw with Cardiff Met, Tony Pennock’s team got their first league win of the campaign on Monday as Alaric Jones’ stoppage-time header earned a 1-0 victory away at Briton Ferry Llansawel.
The Bluebirds’ triumph in May’s Play-Off final extended their unbeaten run against Caernarfon to eight matches. Three of the four matches between the two sides in the regular season in 2024/25 finished as draws.
Penybont v Connah’s Quay Nomads (Saturday 2:30pm)
Penybont host Connah’s Quay Nomads at the DragonBet Stadium on Saturday after both sides bagged late wins over the bank holiday weekend.
Noah Daley’s hat-trick, including a decisive 94th-minute winner, earned Bont a 3-2 victory away at Barry Town United last Friday before they returned to home turf on Monday with a 2-0 triumph over Llanelli Town. Rhys Griffiths’ side now sit second in the table with nine points from the opening four matches.

The Nomads were beaten 3-0 by The New Saints last Friday and found themselves two goals down at home to local rivals Flint Town United on Monday, but staged a second half comeback – which included an 89th-minute Jack Kenny winner – to earn a first league win under John Disney.
Bont won 1-0 in both meetings between the two sides last season as Gabe Kircough’s late goal secured victory on the road, before Keyon Reffell’s winner in the reverse gave the South Walians their first ever home win over the Nomads.
Flint Town United v Cardiff Met (Saturday, 2:30pm)
Flint Town United host Cardiff Met at the Essity Stadium on Saturday as both sides continue to go in search of their first league wins of the season.
The Silkmen led in both of their bank holiday games against Caernarfon Town and Connah’s Quay Nomads but were ultimately beaten 5-2 and 3-2 respectively to remain on one point from three matches so far.

Remarkably, Cardiff Met have drawn all four of their games so far – conceding a 92nd-minute equaliser in a 1-1 stalemate at home against Barry Town United on Monday. The Archers have not won away from home in the JD Cymru Premier since September last year.
Met won both meetings between the sides last season, securing a 2-1 away win on the opening day of the season before Ryan Reynolds’ strike and Mikey Burke’s own goal earned a 2-0 victory at Cyncoed Campus.
